Bones Broken at Birth

In the Herald Sun today Nov 30th 2010, Marianne Betts wrote an article on, how more expecting mothers are putting their children at risk of clavicle fractures, due to increase weight they are carrying during pregnancy. This article saddens me, as if more mothers had help to become healthy and stay healthy prior to conception and during pregnancy, this would not only help their babies but themselves also. No mother wants their child to be at risk of a clavicle fracture and nor do they want to know this is something they could have avoided. The food we are being exposed to, is not as healthy and of good nutrition value as years before, I believe the mothers are not at fault and it is the quality of food accessible making it difficult at times to make good health choices as well as the increased preservatives and added extras being put into even "healthy" choices.
